Meet Your Therapist
My name is Beryl Greensea, she/her and I am an LGBTQA+ and BBIPOC ally and am a person who recognizes the privileges that have been bestowed on me and who believes in, and supports equality/equity for all.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved movement, touch, vibrant health, and connection. I love Manual/Massage Therapy because it harnesses and fosters all of these while offering continual opportunities to deepen my understanding of the human body.! This is my calling and my passion.
As an individual, I am someone who is constantly curious about and mesmerized by the world around me and the people in it. I’d say my biggest strength is that I don’t think I know everything. I consider this to be an asset in my practice because if keeps me curious and open to the individual needs of the person in front of me.
As a practitioner, my focus is always, first centered around creating a safe place for others. If you tell me you’re in pain, I’ll believe you, even if your doctor can’t explain it. If you have a need and I can meet it, I will strive to do so. If I cannot meet a particular need, I will attempt to find helpful references and resources to address facets of wellness outside of my training.
My goal as a bodyworker is to interpret pain and dysfunction in the soft tissues of the body and to help my clients toward pain-free living without causing pain in the process. I want to puzzle out what works for every body, whether that is deep contact, vigorous manipulation, or a more soothing touch. I specialize in multi-system, deep tissue releases that don’t hurt. I feel particularly drawn to working with chronic, treatment resistant pain, syndromes, and women’s health concerns.
My approach is based on over 20 years of experience with Therapeutic Deep Tissue, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Thai Massage, and Fascial Counterstrain and is ever evolving as I learn and grow as a person and practitioner.
